Support Our Mission

The Hillholm Writing Residency is made possible by a partnership among the founders of Santosha at Hillholm Estate, From the Fishouse, and generous donors like you. Our mission is to create an enduring legacy of sustainable support for emerging writers in the mountains of western Maine. Funding sources are used for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to direct support of writers during their residencies (living expenses); to promotion of the residency program and outreach to writing communities; to hosting special events, lectures, and readings on site for the residents and community members alike; and ultimately, to providing stipends for future cohorts of writers.
