As an internist and palliative care specialist, Dr. Lovins is dedicated to providing non-judgmental, compassionate, whole-person care to her patients and clients, and to facilitating the relief of total (physical, emotional and spiritual) suffering. She is a board-certified internist and palliative care specialist with over 25 years of physician experience. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital; a fellowship in Palliative Care at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center; and a certificate in palliative care studies from Harvard University. At present, she is the Medical Director of BAYADA Home Hospice in Norwich, VT; an internal medicine hospitalist in several New England hospitals; and professor of Palliative Care at Dartmouth University’s Geisel School of Medicine in Hanover, NH. She received her certification as a ketamine/psychedelic facilitator after training with Mary Cosemano from Johns Hopkins University and with the Boston Psychedelic Group. She is also a certified death doula and professional coach.

Her goal is to help clients find joy even in the midst of pain and to live their most meaningful lives at any stage of life. Her extensive post graduate training includes medical ethics and ketamine-assisted treatment. Her experience as a personal coach and death doula allows her to safely hold space for clients to explore emotional and spiritual concerns. Dr. Lovins draws nourishment from connection to nature, humans, and animals, and resides in southern Vermont.
